Biography
Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1993, the conductor began his musical studies at the age of 15 under the guidance of his Flute teacher, José Ignacio Orellana, in 2009. He quickly discovered his interest in music composition and applied for the Composition program at the Conservatory of the University of Chile that same year. At the age of 16, he started his elementary studies at the Conservatory and was accepted in 2012 into the composition class of renowned composer Andrés Maupoint.
In 2013, he was accepted into the orchestral conducting class of Maestro David del Pino Klinge. A year later, he made the decision to fully dedicate himself to conducting and discontinued his composition studies under the mentorship of Maestro del Pino Klinge.
In 2015, he relocated to Rosario, Argentina, where he continued his musical training and took on the role of assistant to Maestro del Pino Klinge, who became the Principal Conductor of the Rosario Provincial Symphony Orchestra (OSPR).
During his three-year stay in Rosario, he worked extensively with the OSPR, which had a strong social commitment. This experience reaffirmed his passion for orchestral conducting and instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility towards the community. As an assistant to Maestro del Pino, he had the opportunity to collaborate with various orchestras in Chile, Peru, Brazil, and Argentina.
In 2018, he was accepted into the orchestral conducting class of Professor Rüdiger Bohn at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule in Germany, where he began advanced studies in repertoire and styles. As a student in Professor Bohn's class, he has had the opportunity to participate in internships with orchestras in Germany such as the Bergische Symphoniker, Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Niederrheinischen Sinfoniker, and the Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic in Satu Mare, Romania.
In addition to his studies, he has been involved in orchestral projects outside the classical repertoire, including the production "Stadtrausch" by the Institute of Music and Media at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule, featuring jazz works for orchestra, and the musical theater production "Rückkehr zu den Sternen-Weltraumoper" at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf.
Since 2022, he has held the position of Principal Conductor of the "Opus 125" orchestra in Mönchengladbach and the "Hofgartenorchester" at the University of Bonn in Germany.
